Lead-safe certificates for Norristown rentals

Norristown requires lead-safe certification for covered rental properties under its lead ordinance. We do the dust-wipe test, send the samples to an accredited lab, and give you the certificate the Municipality needs.

The Norristown rule

Norristown passed Ordinance 21-14, which became Chapter 200 of the Municipal Code: Lead Poisoning Prevention and Lead Hazard Control. Since January 1, 2022 it has required a lead-safe or lead-free certificate for rental properties built before 1978: before a new rental license is issued and at every renewal, whether or not children live there. It also covers child day-care centers and homes being sold.
