Unlike Philadelphia, Montgomery County doesn’t have one county-wide rental lead law. Requirements are set town by town. Norristown has its own lead ordinance (Chapter 200) for rentals, and it’s the only Montgomery County town we know of with a rental lead certificate requirement. The County runs a voluntary Lead Hazard Control Program for income-qualified homeowners and landlords.
